Yes, Yes, Yes....Actually got there....Yahoo

Today seemed a long time in arriving seen as this trip had been planned for 2 weeks ago but had to be cancelled due to the Wet weather.

Any way, a dry start to the day I got the Gt out of the garage, went up stairs to get my Leathers on & YES it started to Bloody Rain, so I rushed downstairs pushed the GT back in to the Garage wiped the seat off went back inside gave it 5 mins then got changed & put on the New Waterproofs (nowt was gonna stop me today).

I set off at 8.25am in ther rain, then after about 35 mins I escaped the Rain Clouds & the sky got a little brighter but there was still a bad cross wind across the A1.
I had the odd bit of rain further on but nothing to get excited about, 2 hrs in & I had made good time so I stopped at Baldock Services for a brew & take off the wet weather gear, while I was here I spotted an Old Royal Enfield & was having a chat with the owner who told be it made in 1937 (some old machine).

I continued down on to The Ace Cafe, parked up, had a good wander around the Car's and then the bike's taking quite a few photo's.
Below is a sample of photo's I took today but you can also view all of them at my Facebook page if you are one of my friends, if your not a friend send a friend request.

After having sometining to eat (well it would be Rude not too) & a chat to a few people I started my journey back home going up the M1 it started to rain so I pulled off on to the HArd Shoulder& under a bridge got the Wet Weather Gear out again, I needed it on as it was as they say Raining Cat's & Dog's.

Up around Leicester up to Newark On Trent & stop for a cuppa before getting home.
A great day with a few miles under the belt, What more can I say What lie's in wait for my next trip ? !!!!!!

Rain Am, Windy Pm but I still got out Lol.....

Woke up this morning to the usual sound of rain, it's becoming an habit here and it's supposed to be Bloody Summer!!!. Any way, up and about washed the car's did something in the Garden (yes it had stopped raining by then), I said to the wife I'm off out on the bike for a bit so off to the Triumph dealer to see if I could get something to hold my Tom Tom XL1 on to the bike, not much look there, so then it was a Bimble up the Motorway to Squires cafe n shop to see if they had anything that would suite, they had something but it was too loose on the handle bars so back to the drawing board for that one. Hopefully next Sat 30th June it will be the Ace Cafe in London (please don't Rain, please). Below are a few pic's a took of some bikes at Squires Cafe..

Dodging the Gale's & Rain Clouds..

Well if this is supposed to be Summer UK style they can keep it, we had better weather in March & April this year !!!!! We have been planning a trip South to the Ace Cafe on Sat 16th,June 2012 for a good old ride out, but today the wife & I had a trip to the local Motorcycle shop to purchase some WATERPROOF suit's just incase, you know only on the off chance we get more rain next weekend or any other day we decide to have a Bimble out & get caught out in the wet stuff (se photo below). LOL. We did manage to get a Bimble out today & not evan to where we we're supposed to go 2, but at least we got out. We ended up going out to a place called Brigg near Scunthorpe to a Garden Centre (yes on the Bike), had a cheeky cuppa & a bite to eat, a look round then headed home via the Humber Bridge which I was gonna go across until I saw the Monsoon that was blowing in on the bridge so we diverted away from the wet & got home Shaken not Stirred or Wet... Roll on next Saturday,I do hope the weather kind for all 4 of us so we can visit the Ace Cafe... Me holding up one the Wet Suit's I bought, they pack up quite small.

The wife went shopping so I did'nt lol. I got in to my Leathers & had a blast out to Willingham Woods in Lincolnshire to a Bikers Cafe in a Lay by. Had to get out today seen as the forcast for 2moro is Rain all day I took a few snaps on my mobile as you can see below, the Ducati sounded nice & with a price Tag of £25,000.00 English pounds that is it needed too. A good ride but need to contact the Triumph Dealer next week because when I fill up the tank with Petrol the Fuel Gauge is not showing full evan after the alotted 10 mins you are supposed to give it to settle, it's all a digital clock (fuel etc anyway).
